The gym is available 24 hours a day to members with a dedicated team of 4 qualified fitness professionals available during weekdays from 6.30am to 7.30pm to assist with all fitness and exercise queries and instruction offering Personal Training, personal fitness programs and nutritional advice. The fully air conditioned gym provides a number of dedicated training spaces including stretch, resistance, free weights and a cardiovascular zone. The 22 station cardio zone comprises mainly of state of the art Precor equipment which includes integrated touch screen TV’s and an internet search feature. The resistance area includes Precors’ newest pin loaded machines and x2 cable motion dual adjustable pulley for a full body resistance workout. The free weights zone includes a range of dumbbells, barbells and plate loaded equipment for strength training.
The two air - conditioned studios house over 20 classes per week and ensure there is something for everyone from high energy HIIT classes to low impact toning classes. One studio is primarily used for the indoor cycling classes with 20 of the latest Schwinn spinning bikes available. The other studio is fully equipped with weights, barbells, steps, mats, medicine balls and battle ropes and has the flexibility and room to cater for a variation of classes of up to 20 people. The fitness team have also been working beyond the boundaries of the club itself with staff in the Aberdeen area and are assisting to co - ordinate and maintain Healthy Working Lives calendar of events of which a Gold level has already been achieved. The team have also been involved in the new building open day, a HSE awareness week and have hosted an inter - departmental football tournament with many other events in the pipeline in the coming months working alongside the Sports and Social committees.
